Tyler Mook, Main Person Of Interest In Wife's Disappearance Is Arrested On Seperate Charge In Martin County

STUART (CBS12) -- A man is charged with attempted first degree murder after the Martin County Sheriff's office says he tried to drown his girlfriend in October. 

Tyler Mook was picked up on a domestic battery charge back in October the Sherriff’s Office says. 

The state attorney said the domestic battery charge was not severe enough, and eventually the Sheriff's Office was able to up the charges to attempted first degree murder. 

Shelley Mook, the suspects wife from Tennessee, has been missing since 2011.

Her burned car was discovered. 

According to published reports, the last person Shelley Mook was seen with was her ex-husband, Tyler.  Her burned vehicle was found later.  

Shelley Mook is still missing.
